How do I make a reservation?
Please make them online at the link on our home page via Tock or click here! We do not take reservations over the phone or email unless requesting to book a party larger than 6.
Do I need a reservation?
We highly suggest planning ahead and making reservations if you want to guarantee a spot and not have to wait! That being said, we do take walk-ins on a wait-list format, but wait times can vary greatly due to our intimate space and depends on cancellations, no-shows, and timing of reservations. We cannot guarantee that we will have space for all our waitlisted guests.
Why don’t I see anything available for the day/time I want to book on Tock?
If you don’t see anything available on Tock, it means we are fully booked during that day/time. Please try for another date, or come in and ask to be added to the waitlist!
Is the Realm 21+?
Yes we are, so please bring your ID! Our mothership restaurant, Common Theory, however is kid-friendly!
How far in advance should I book?
Our online reservations are open for booking up to 2 weeks in advance. For Friday-Sunday reservations, we recommend booking over a week in advance! For booking Tuesdays-Thursdays tend to require less advanced booking.
What is the largest party you can accommodate?
The largest regular reservation we take is for up to 6 guests. Anything larger than that requires advanced special booking with a food and beverage minimum per guest. We also host private events and buyouts for up to 60 guests. Email 52remedies@commontheorysd.com to inquire about parties of 6+!
How do I add myself to the waitlist and how does it work?
The wait list opens daily (except when we’re closed Mondays) at 5pm. You can add your name to the list in person only— we do not take wait-list requests over the phone. Once you’re added to the list, we encourage to to grab a bite to eat or drink at Common Theory while you wait. If we have a spot available, we’ll shoot you a text! Check in with the Host at the front or shoot us a text back that you’re on your way. We will hold your spot for up to 10 minutes.
How long is the wait-time for walk-ins?
Wait-times vary greatly depending on how booked we are for the evening (from 10 minutes, to 3+ hours, to possibly no availability at all if we are full for the night). We unfortunately are not able to give a more precise estimate for wait-times, since we don’t know when reservations or other waitlisted parties will cancel or leave early.
Do you have a dress code?
While we recommend for our guests to “dress to impress”, we don’t enforce a dress code!
